A new footbridge and lifts have been installed at Crowborough station to provide step-free access across the station.
This will make the station much easier to use for passengers with limited mobility, with luggage, bicycles and pushchairs.
The £4.7m project was delivered as part of the Department for Transport’s Access for All programme and was officially opened in February 2023.
The work included
- The installation of two lifts (16-person capacity) and a new footbridge which will provide an accessible route to and in between platforms
- New tactile paving’s on both platforms at Crowborough Station
- New CCTV cameras
