Barnt Green station accessibility upgrades

Passengers and local people at Barnt Green station in Bromsgrove will benefit from new lifts as part of a multimillion-pound investment to improve accessibility.

What work is taking place?

We’re building three new lifts at Barnt Green station which will connect to the station’s footbridge to provide level access to all four platforms for the first time.

Other upgrades include the installation of new customer help points on platforms 2 and 3.

How will this work affect me?

Work to finalise the designs of the project is taking place. As soon as we’re able to confirm a date to start work on site, we’ll let passengers and members of the local community know.

Ahead of work starting on site, we’ll write to residents who live near the station and hold an information event so that people have an opportunity to meet our project team to find out more.

Why is the work needed?

These vital improvements at Barnt Green station will help passengers and local people with reduced mobility, families with prams and those carrying heavy luggage. We are committed to delivering these improvements as soon as possible.
