New toilets at London Bridge station
We carried out a £4.8m project at London Bridge station to add 38 more toilets to improve the experience for all passengers.
Passenger feedback was that the previous provision didn’t meet the needs of the number of passengers that use the station.
We converted two ex-retail units on Stainer Street into new and extra toilet facilities to meet the growing needs of station customers. They operate alongside the existing toilets to increase provision.
The new toilets opened at the end of April 2025.
What did we do?
We installed more toilets to meet passenger demand.
The new toilet facilities include a mixture of female units. The new accessible toilets will improve access for those with unseen disabilities, while the step-free entry to accessible toilets and baby changing areas, will make it easier for people with impaired mobility, the elderly, and parents with children.
What are the benefits?
Improved passenger experience
The additional toilets, fitted out to a high standard with options for female, male, unisex, gender neutral, accessible and baby change have been designed to meet the needs of all passengers at this busy station.
More accessible
The new toilets are a balanced number of male and female facilities, as well as offering new unisex facilities.
New accessible toilets will improve access for passengers travelling with unseen disabilities.
Step-free access to accessible toilets and baby changing areas will make it easier for people with impaired mobility, the elderly and parents with children.
