Who we are
The Property division is accountable for the management of Network Rail’s land and property assets. Across our property business units, we specialise in delivering acquisitions and land and town planning strategy to support the company’s operational ambition; property development, commercial lettings in our stations and wider estate; and management of our corporate office accommodation.
We also create exceptional spaces that provide passengers with great environments to eat, drink, shop and relax, while allowing businesses to thrive.

North West and Central region

Scotland’s Railway covers a large geographical area from the Borders to Thurso at the far tip of the North East of Scotland.
Network Rail Property in Scotland is changing. We are moving a new regional structure which will place us closer to our customers and stakeholders giving us the opportunity to do what we do best – provide a first class service to the core business and manage and grow our unique portfolio of property assets.

The Southern region serves rail passengers and freight operators from Devon in the West, to Kent in the East.
The region covers Dorset, Hampshire, East and West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and South London as well as the Network Rail High Speed route which carries channel tunnel services.
The vision for the Southern region property team is “To put our passengers and customers at the heart of everything we do by creating an efficient, safe and sustainable Property portfolio that supports our people and the delivery of our operational railway, ensures value for money and generates income to reinvest in the railway”.

Wales and Western
With a 5,000-strong workforce and 2,700 miles of railway, our routes are here to serve communities and businesses of Wales, the Thames Valley, West of England and the South West Peninsula.
We transport commuters to key employment hubs including London, Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool. We directly serve London Heathrow, Europe’s busiest international airport and provide connections to Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, and London Gatwick airports.
We support leisure and tourism in all of these areas and support critical freight services, notably aggregates, moving millions of tonnes of freight every year. We are focussed on getting the basics right; putting the passenger first to provide a safe, reliable and high performing railway every day.

This role will offer you the opportunity to work a diverse range of work.
It will be challenging. But you will be able to develop and hone your skills within a small but supportive team working on some of the busiest parts of Britain’s railway.
