At Network Rail, we recognise that there are times when you may need to take a break from your profession and know that trying to return to work in the same industry after time out can be tough and daunting. We appreciate that individuals like you are a great asset to the organisation and can bring with you enriched experience and knowledge from your career break. The Property Returner programme is designed with you in mind.
The programme starts with a comprehensive induction and a period of shadowing. You will have a buddy in your immediate team and a mentor from the wider business to ensure that you can settle into your role in a quick and stress-free way. You will also have the support and guidance of the HR team for additional training and development needs.
Flexible working can be considered, subject to a commitment of a minimum of 21 hours a week. You will need to be within reasonable commuting distance to the location you are applying for.
To be eligible for the programme, you will need:
- To have had a career break from the profession of 2+ years (either out of the workforce or in a field or profession outside of property surveying or finance)
- An interest in making a difference to improve the passenger experience and in creating great places for people, businesses and communities across the country
Contracts are initially on a fixed term agreement with the potential to be made permanent if a suitable role is available.
