Railway improvement work this Easter

We’re working to improve the rail network this Easter, from Friday 30 March to Monday 2 April 2018 inclusive (Tuesday 3 April for the Bristol area).

Across the country we’ll be carrying out upgrades to the railway, including our largest ever resignalling project, in Bristol, and continued work to electrify the line from Edinburgh to Glasgow via Shotts.

The latest stage of the work to improve Sevenoaks Tunnel is also taking place this Easter, and the Anglia overhead line equipment renewals project moves forward this bank holiday, with work taking place between Ingatestone and Liverpool Street.

Plan ahead as some services will be restricted and some will not be running during this time. Remember to check your journey plans on the National Rail website now, before you travel. You can also follow #EasterBHWorks on TwitterFacebook and Instagram.
