Network Rail’s work on the railway over the spring bank holiday weekend (Saturday 27 May to Monday 29 May) was completed in time for Tuesday morning train services to resume.
Passengers are still asked to check their journey plans on the National Rail website before travelling, as the railway network is maintained 24/7 and this is the best place to find the most up-to-date travel information.
August bank holiday work
Network Rail will also be carrying out work on the railway over the August bank holiday (Saturday 26 August to Monday 28 August). Anyone intending to travel over the bank holiday weekend in August is advised to plan their journeys as early as possible as there will be significant changes to train services – especially to and from London.
