Rockingham Road in Market Harborough will be closed over the weekend as Network Rail installs new drainage.
The work is part of a multi-million pound scheme to improve the railway through the area. The project will deliver a straighter rail line to allow non-stopping trains to travel faster between London and Sheffield. The scheme will also see a new car park, initially with 300 spaces and increasing to 500, and an enhanced station for passengers using Market Harborough.
The road will close from 21:00 on Friday, 12 January until 06:00 on Monday, 15 January. During the closure, a clearly signposted diversionary route will be in place. Pedestrian access across the bridge will be maintained throughout the work.
Anyone wishing to find out more about the work should call the Network Rail National Helpline on 03457 11 41 41.
