Pram and bikes among litter items cleared from Merseyside station
A pram, two bicycles and an oil drum were among items of litter removed by Network Rail volunteers from Earlestown station on Merseyside today.
Members of Network Rail’s London North Western route communications team used a ‘volunteer day’ to collect two tonnes of rubbish.
Danielle Lahan, public affairs manager, said: “We hope local people notice and appreciate the difference.”
Earlestown station, which is managed by Northern, has five platforms spread across a wide wooded area.
