Bicycle parking

There are bicycle racks:

• adjacent to the bus station
• on east side of the piazza
• outside Melton Street / Cardington Street.

Bikes are left at owner’s risk – make sure yours is securely locked. British Transport Police bicycle security advice.

You can hire a bike from Transport for London (TfL), as part of their cycle hire scheme. More information on the charges can be found at TfL cycle hire.

Bus

There is a bus station at the front of the train station and there are bus stops on Eversholt Street. For more information on buses, please visit TfL.

Car

Our pick-up and drop-off point is accessed:

• By Euston Road, turning into Melton Street. Our drop of point, is located in the taxi rank.
• Alternatively you can use the Royal College of General Practitioners postcode that will take you to the entrance of the taxi rank. Post code: NW1 2FB.

Note: Due to limited space and to avoid traffic congestion you will be unable to wait at our drop-off and pick-up point and we thank you for your support.

Car park

There are currently no station car parking facilities at Euston due to HS2 construction works. Alternative parking can be found nearby at St Pancras station and there is some on-street parking in the area surrounding Euston station. For more information, you can contact the HS2 helpdesk.

London Underground

Lines serving Euston Underground station:

The entrance is towards the front of the station on the piazza. The ticket hall can be accessed by lift, stairs or escalator. Please note: there is no step-free access between the Underground ticket hall and their platforms – underground platforms can only be reached by escalator or stairs. The nearest station with step-free access is London King’s Cross station.

Euston Square

To get there, exit the western side of the station, walk through the taxi rank and turn right on Euston Road (in front of the station) and walk 150 metres. Lines serving Euston Square:

Rail replacement services

Rail replacement vehicles will operate from the bus stop on Eversholt Street at the side of the station.

Taxi

The taxi rank is outside the front of the station. The taxi rank is clearly sign-posted from the station. However, to get there, turn right onto Euston Road (Access to the rank is off Euston Road into Melton Street).

Train

We offer assistance to passengers who need help accessing our facilities and train services. Our Passenger assistance team have access to wheelchairs and passenger assistance vehicles to help us assist you in and around the station.

What services are included?

Our Passenger assistance team can aid with:

• offering a helping hand to the station
• support when boarding, finding a seat, or alighting the train
• meeting you from your train and taking you to your next train or the exit
• arranging a ramp to assist you on or off your train
• assistance relating to a non-visible disability
• advising on the accessibility of other stations across the network for your onward journey
• carrying your bag(s) – up to three items of luggage as per the National Rail Conditions of Travel.

Distances from the concourse to trains can be lengthy at London Euston, so to assist you in a timely and safe manner we would request our passengers to arrive in good time. We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to departure.

When arriving at the station by train, our aim is to meet you on time. Sometimes it may take us a little longer because we often assist more than one passenger per train, but we have a service commitment to not exceed 5 minutes from arrival.

If you arrive at the station much earlier than your planned departure time, you may have to wait for assistance staff to become available.

London Euston is the busiest station in the country for passenger assistance bookings. Because our station is so busy, we do recommend that you book in advance wherever possible. Assistance can be booked up to 2 hours in advance of travel.

Turn up and go

As well as booking in advance, you can ask for assistance on the day that you are travelling. For Turn up and go service, passengers are asked to arrive 20 minutes prior to departure. Assistance services are available at all times the station is open. You may need to wait until staff are available to help, but our policy is to make it happen. You can ask any member of staff at the station or go to our assisted travel lounge at the times it is open.

Where to go when you arrive at the station

We have an assisted travel lounge located on the main concourse next to the ticket office.

Our assistance reception can help you:

• Check-in for assistance you have booked in advance.
• Make a ‘turn up and go’ request for assistance.

There is a comfortable heated seating/waiting area exclusively for the use of passengers requiring assistance.

Please note: that we can only provide assistance on the station premises, to/from Euston London Underground, taxi rank and bus station.

If the assisted travel lounge is closed, a member of the station staff will be available to assist at the designated ‘Passenger Assist meeting point’. The meeting point is located outside of the Assisted Travel Lounge.

Located at the ticket office, under the main arrivals board and by Melton Street exit.

Lift access to all floors

You can access the balcony and first class lounge via the lift situated adjacent to escalators on the east-side of the station. Adjacent to the main ticket office are two lifts which connect the main concourse to the underground ticket hall level only.

Please note: that there is no step-free access from the London Underground ticket hall to the platforms.

Platform – Detectable warnings, or tactile panels

Detectable warnings, or tactile panels, are comprised of truncated domes. These bumps, which can either be installed individually or together on a tile or detectable warning pad, are large enough to be felt underfoot or detected with a walking cane yet small enough as to not create any tripping hazards. All platforms in Euston Station are fitted with these tactile panels.

Step-free access

Balcony & first-class lounge

Step-free access is available by using the lift situated adjacent to escalators on the east-side of the station.

London Underground access

There is no complete step-free access from Euston concourse to London Underground Platforms. The nearest station with step-free access is London King’s Cross station.

Step-free access to the main station is via:

• Corner of Euston Road and Melton Street Euston Road taxi rank.
• Corner of Euston Road and Eversholt Street – via the walkway from the TfL bus station along the walkway adjacent to Doric Arch pub.

Step-free access to platforms 1-16

The platforms are step-free and accessed via steep ramps leading from the main concourse. However, there is still a gap or step between the platform and the train. We do recommend that wheelchair users and others who are unfamiliar with the station seek assistance from a member of our team.

The platforms are long, so it may take a little time to reach your train or access our main concourse on arrival therefore you may wish to seek support from one of our station team, to get you where you need to go on time.

Assisted Travel Lounge Opening Hours

• Monday to Saturday: 07:00 – 23:00
• Sunday: 08:00 – 23:00

If the Assisted Travel Lounge is closed, a member of the station staff will be available to assist at the designated ‘Passenger Assist Meeting point’ which is located outside of the Assisted Travel Lounge.

Cash machines

There are cash machines (ATMs) located outside the station, near the Western entrance and one located near the Assisted travel lounge.

First class lounge

Avanti First Class lounge (Avanti West Coast and Caledonian Sleeper first class ticket holders only; restrictions apply): bar and conference rooms, located on the balcony. Level access is via a lift.

Lost property

At the station

Lost property found at the station it will go to the Left Luggage office, located near platform 16. To report a lost item online, visit the lost property website. Please provide as much information as you can, to help the lost property officers locate your item.

Luggage and baggage storage

You can pre-book storage for your heavy, awkward or high-value luggage. Left luggage is located near platform 16. For more information visit Excess Baggage.

Photo booths

There are several booths at the station for photos for passports etc. They are situated next to the Melton Street exit, adjacent to our left luggage facility and on the Western piazza entrance.

Seating and Waiting rooms

There is lots of seating available across the station, all with access to customer information screens and priority seating.

• Assisted travel lounge reception: Our main assistance centre for passengers is located on the main concourse. All seats are priority seats and is fully staffed to provide additional help.
• Balcony: Seating is available on the Western side of the balcony overlooking the ticket office.
• Main concourse: large seating area for passengers under the balcony
• Piazza: Bench style seating in our outdoor piazza area.
• Platforms 8-11: Seating area is located at the top of the ramp.
• Platform 16: Waiting room located at the top of the ramp to platform 16.
• Platforms: Seating is available on all platforms conveniently located at key points.

Showers

Showers are available for Caledonian Sleeper passengers in the first-class lounge. Guests staying in accessible rooms can use the accessible shower facilities at London Euston free of charge. These are gender-neutral facilities. Please visit the Caledonian Sleeper website for more information.

Telephones

You’ll find payphones at the entrance to the station at Melton Street.

Toilets, accessible toilets and changing places

Toilets including accessible toilets, a Changing Places toilet and baby changing facilities can be found beyond the top of the ramp leading to platforms 1-3. All toilets are open during station opening hours.

Accessible toilets

Accessible toilets can be accessed using a Radar key. If you don’t have a Radar key of your own, please speak to a member of station staff or one of our cleaning team who will open the facility for you.

Changing places

The Changing Places facility is located opposite the main toilets and can be accessed by calling the number on the signage provided.

Water fountain

The water fountain is located near the entrance to platforms 1-3 by the toilets.
