How long is the scheme?
Where you’ll be based

Why you should choose this scheme
The scheme offers a unique insight into how a government-funded organisation works. The contracts and procurement function is responsible for sourcing and purchasing all goods, works and services for Network Rail.
You’ll learn how to source, procure and deliver to internal and external customers across England, Scotland and Wales. Network Rail has a wide variety of opportunities for graduates and they all offer varied challenges and opportunities to develop different skill sets. On the Commercial & Procurement scheme you’ll work on a wide variety of projects from the start, ranging from sourcing welfare facilities for wagons to working with suppliers post-contract.
You’ll be able to tailor your placements based on your interests and search for your own opportunities. Your placement based in a national function providing services to the regions will help you to gain a better understanding of how the business functions as whole to deliver benefits as part of putting passengers first.
