Across six weekends in August, September and October engineers will renew three sets of switches and crossings, which allow trains to move from one track to another, at Twickenham Junction, west of Twickenham station.

This important junction allows trains to travel between London Waterloo, Reading and Windsor & Eton Riverside, or to Strawberry Hill, where South Western Railway (SWR) maintain trains at their Strawberry Hill depot.

Engineers will also renew 500 yards of conductor rail, which provide power to trains, to improve reliability in the area.

Line closures

Work will take place on the following dates:

Passengers should check before travelling using the SWR website or National Rail Enquiries.
