With heavy rain falling across Wales, the following information has been issued by Network Rail
Bill Kelly, Network Rail’s route director for Wales and Borders said:
“Storms and heavy rain are continuing today and as a direct result of this prolonged period of extreme wet weather, a number of lines on the network are now flooding and have been closed for safety reasons.
“With wet weather predicted to continue for the rest of today, we strongly advise passengers to expect disruption and look at alternative bus or road options available to them. Rail travel out of Cardiff is unlikely to be an option for many and we do not expect this situation to improve quickly.
“We will continue working round the clock to reopen lines as soon as possible and thank passengers for their patience and understanding.”
