Check before you travel spring bank holiday

Passengers travelling over the spring bank holiday weekend (Saturday 27 May to Monday 29 May) are advised to check travel plans in advance as Network Rail will be carrying out work on the railway.

Passengers can find up-to-date travel information and check travel plans on the National Rail website. Bus services will be in place.

Key work and service disruptions in and around London

Work at Seven Kings and between Harold Wood and Shenfield will disrupt travel in and out of Liverpool Street station. There will also be work between Bethnal Green and Forest Gate.

There will be no Southeastern trains between London Charing Cross and London Bridge. Most services will be diverted to start/terminate at London Cannon Street.

Travel between Highbury & Islington and Hackney Wick stations will be affected by work at Hackney Wick.

There will be reduced services to and from London Paddington and Slough stations.

Key work elsewhere

Work between Carstairs and Edinburgh will see lines closed between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central.

Travel will also be disrupted by work between Didcot Parkway and Swindon.
