Google adds Network Rail stations to Maps

04 July 2012

Users of Android smartphones can now explore the indoor layout of Network Rail’s managed stations on Google Maps.

Detail such as entrances and exits, station facilities and retail outlets are now plotted, enabling passengers to easily find their way around Network Rail’s managed stations in London which include Euston, Liverpool Street, King’s Cross and Paddington.

Android users who have Google Maps 6.0 or higher can see the indoor layouts when zoomed in on a station on the maps.

Indoor mapping will also be available to desktop users of Google Maps in the near future.
