Three days of fashion, food and music at Waterloo, 15 – 17 November

14 November 2012

The Network Rail and South West Trains alliance is bringing three days of themed entertainment and demonstrations to Waterloo station, celebrating the best in fashion, food and music.

Starting on Thursday 15 November, anyone visiting Waterloo station will be greeted with a host of Christmas offers and live shows from the exciting brands found there (see full schedule below).

Passengers and station visitors will be able to enjoy themed live shows and demonstrations from 16 exciting in-station brands, with live music on Saturday from some of London's best up and coming bands.

They will be able to try wine and beer tasting with The Cabin or Sports Bar and Grill, get a pre-Christmas party polish with an old-fashioned shoe shine from Thomas Pink, or learn the perfect gift wrapping technique with Paperchase.

Exclusive offers on hundreds of Christmas gifts and products will apply across Waterloo station's retailers, including luxury gifts, discounts and offers on food, drink and beauty treatments.

The festival follows the completion of a £25 million rejuvenation project at Waterloo including a new 220 metre balcony to improve access routes to Waterloo East, which is also home to a new collection of boutique and high street brands.

Charlotte Frost, a regular commuter at Waterloo, said: "I've been commuting through Waterloo for years and it's so refreshing to now have such a wide choice of shops available. I don't often get time during the working day to think about shopping so having so many options on my commute is really convenient."

It's the first in a series of events that will bring to life stations with music and entertainment for passengers. The festival spirit will journey onto Kings Cross, which will play host to an evening of shopping and live music on Thursday 6 December with special offers and discounts available throughout the station.
