    The main Smallbrook Queensway entrance is step-free. The entrance off Navigation Street has steps. Access from The Pallasades shopping centre is by escalator.

    There are steps to the waiting rooms on some of the platforms.

    Induction loops - reception, Virgin first class lounge and left luggage/lost property don't have induction loops.

    Requesting assistance

    For help with mobility or luggage speak to a member of staff or go to the Mobility Pod next to the IC Lounge (Monday to Saturday 10:00 - 18:30. Telephone 0121 654 2528).

    At other times call reception on 0121 654 4243 or call your train operator, ideally 48 hours in advance. Lines are open every day, except Christmas Day and Boxing Day:

  • Toilets

    The ladies' toilets are between the stairs to platforms 4/5 and 6/7. The men’s toilets are between the stairs to platforms 8/9 and 10/11. Both have an accessible cubicle, with another unisex one next to the ladies' toilets.

    All of the accessible toilets are through the ticket barrier.

    Wheelchairs

    Wheelchairs can be borrowed for use around the station - go to the Mobility Pod (see above) or speak to a member of staff.

    There are no mobility assistance vehicles.

    Getting to and from the station

    Bus
    There are pick up and set down points for buses on Smallbrook Queensway about 50 metres from the main station entrance. The majority of the buses are wheelchair accessible.

    Car
    Cars can pick up and set down immediately outside the main station entrance off Smallbrook Queensway, by the taxi rank. This entrance is step-free. Sat nav postcode B2 4ND.

    From Sunday 4 December, please allow more time to get there because one of the lanes on the station approach road will be closed to allow redevelopment work.

    There is a short stay car park outside the main station entrance with two Blue Badge spaces. It is free for 20 minutes. From Sunday 4 December the number of spaces will be significantly reduced during the redevelopment work.

    The long stay multi storey car park entrance is on Hill Street. To get to the station, leave through the main car park entrance and turn left onto Queens Drive the station is at the end of the building. The normal tariff applies.

    Taxi
    All taxis are accessible for manual wheelchairs. Most taxis are also accessible for electric wheelchairs.

    The taxi rank is immediately outside the main station entrance on Smallbrook Queensway.
