  • Accessibility

    There is step-free access from the Strand. Access from Villiers Street is by escalators controlled by the Embankment Place management. The station forecourt is cobbled, but there is a pavement to one side.

    Induction loops are fitted at our helpdesk (Monday to Saturday 06:15 - 22:15, Sunday 07:30 - 22:00). There are no induction loops at left luggage/lost property.

    There are no tactile warning strips along platform edges.

    Requesting assistance

    If you need mobility assistance or help with luggage please speak to any member of our staff, including cleaners, or go to the Southeastern information desk (Monday to Saturday 06:15 - 22:15, Sunday 07:30 - 22:00).

    Near the central Strand exit and the ticket office.
    Wheelchairs
    If you need to borrow a wheelchair for use around the station please speak to any member of station staff.
    Textphone
    There is a public textphone in the central entrance between the station forecourt and the concourse.

    Bus
    There is step-free access from the bus stops on the Strand.

    Underground
    There is no step-free access to Charing Cross Underground station. However, there is an escalator which descends to the Underground station concourse until approximately 10:30 and rises for the rest of the day.

    Car
    There are no car parking facilities at Charing Cross station. There is a pick up/drop off space on the station forecourt reserved for Blue Badge holders.

    Taxi
    The taxi rank is on the cobbled station forecourt.
