Getting to and from the station
Bus
Buses to and from the city leave outside the Fairfield Street entrance and from Piccadilly Gardens.
Metroshuttle 1, 3: Depart from the Piccadilly entrance on circular routes around the centre. Free, wheelchair accessible.
147: Goes from Fairfield Street to the universities and central hospitals via Oxford Road then returns to the station.
Tram
Metrolink trams are wheelchair accessible and run to the centre, Altrincham, Bury and Eccles. A lift and escalators connect the train station to the platform. You can buy tickets from machines on the platform.
Car
Pick up and drop off area: Fairfield Street short stay car park (sat nav: M1 2QF). There are lifts from the car park entrance to platforms 12, 13 and 14.
There are 3 Blue Badge spaces in the short stay car park less than 50 metres of the station entrance. There is a lift to the main concourse.
There are Blue Badge spaces in the long stay car park approximately 100 metres away from the station. Vehicle access is on Station Approach. See parking at Piccadilly for details.
Taxi
The taxi rank is at the Fairfield Street entrance. A lift connects it to the concourse.
