  • Station accessibility

    There is step-free access to Gordon Street, Hope Street and the low level Hope Street station. To get to the low level station from the main concourse, there are escalators by platforms 14-15 and lifts by the Hope Street entrance.

    There is no induction loop fitted at the reception but there is one on the concourse near the main seating area.

    Neither ticket office has a low counter.

    There are tactile warning strips along platform 12 and 13 only.

    Requesting assistance

    Speak to any member of our staff or go to the reception (first floor, above the Arrol Bar):

    • Monday to Friday 07:00 - 18:00 (closed bank holidays)

    Access isn't step-free but there is an intercom (height 1.28m) at the entrance.

    Alternatively contact your train operator, ideally 24 hours in advance:

    • Inside the Gordon Street entrance
    • Opposite the payphones, near the entrance to the low-level station

    Wheelchairs
    If you need to borrow a wheelchair, speak to a member of our staff or go to the reception (see above).

    There is a textphone at the reception.
    Getting to and from the station

    Car
    There are drop-off and pick up points on Union Street and Hope Street. There is step free access to the station from Hope Street and Waterloo Street.

    NCP operates a long stay car park next to the station. There is step free access from level 5 to platform 15. There are 2 Blue Badge spaces, the normal tariff applies. See parking at Glasgow Central for details.

    Bus
    An inter-station bus leaves from Gordon Street on a circular route to Queen Street station, Buchanan bus station and back to Glasgow Central.

    Airport buses leave from Waterloo Street (Hope Street exit).

    Access to bus stops in Gordon Street and Hope Street is step-free, access to the stop in Union Street has steps.

    Taxi
    There is a taxi rank opposite the main entrance at Gordon Street. Not all taxis are accessible.
