Improvement work in August

Improvement worksNetwork Rail's rail improvement programme continues over the August bank holiday weekend, with thousands of engineers working round the clock.

The biggest improvement work will be at locations on the West Coast Main Line (linking London Euston to key cities like Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow), as Network Rail continues its push to complete this important £8.8bn project in time for the New Year.

Planned work will affect the railway around Rugby between Saturday 23 August and Tuesday 26 August inclusive. Further planned work will continue in the Trent Valley, Stoke and Nuneaton areas from 23 August to 7 September with rail diversions in place.
