Beckenham Junction Platform Extension
The scheme at Beckenham Station in Kent involved the extension of the up bay platform 1 by 7.5m at the London end with the partial demolition of the existing platform ramp at the same location. The purpose of this platform extension was to accommodate 8 car trains and to enable reduction in the time it takes for passengers to board. The extension was opened in June 2007.
