Salisbury East Carriage Holding Sidings
Network Rail has extended Siding 1 at Salisbury East, Hampshire from 6 to a 9 car capacity. Siding 2 has been reopened and refurbished to accommodate 9 car trains. This has improved operational flexibility for South West Trains in the area as both sidings are now able to berth longer trains. This is especially useful for trains using the Salisbury Maintenance Depot.
