Welcome to Network Rail's Business Plan 2007

  • Network Rail has published its 2007 Business Plan which reports that Network Rail has continued to improve in a number of areas with punctuality at a seven year high.

The Business Plan suite of documents is produced annually in accordance with our network licence condition seven. The Business Plan is an executive overview of our detailed plans for the coming year and the Summary Plan gives a brief overview of this.

Network Rail has also unveiled that, over the next two years, it will spend nearly £2.5 billion on enhancing the rail network. Hundreds of platforms will be lengthened, dozens of new platforms added, new lines built, line speeds raised and capacity added through major resignalling schemes.

Since publication in April we have added a new section to provide more detail of renewals and enhancement expenditure and activity volumes associated specifically with WCRM.  This can be found under Additional Information - WCRM
