Assurance
'Assurance' describes the policy-setting functions that determine the framework for how and when we deliver our outputs.
Engineering and safety & compliance determine the specifications, regimes and standards by which delivery is managed, and provide assurance to the Board that all work is being done according to these specifications.
The assurance function is divided into two areas which are:
- Engineering – track, civil, signal, telecoms, electrification & plant, ergonomics, asset management, railway systems, rail vehicle engineering, enhancements, future train & operational control systems and operations principles & standards
- Safety & Compliance
