Euston station development

Over 50 million people use Euston station each year, which is contained in a site the size of Canary Wharf – around 15 acres. The station and its immediate environment offer huge potential and could result in a mixed-use development of upwards of 100,000 sq metres.

Victoria station development

With 115 million users a year, Victoria is one of Britain’s busiest stations. Network Rail is keen to see sympathetic further development of about 75,000 sq metres that will enhance the Grade II listed structure and add to the already extensive passenger facilities.

Station Development

Network Rail has ambitious plans to redevelop many of its stations, in conjunction with private-partner investors.

London’s major stations - prime development sites

Network Rail has announced ambitious plans to launch a multi-billion pound, ten-year modernisation programme for its stations. We have identified the need for up to £4 billion of additional private-partner investment in stations across the network and are now looking for partners with the expertise to help progress the first tranche of stations to be redeveloped under these joint-venture schemes.

This programme will increase capacity at stations, improve facilities for passengers and provide opportunities for new, high quality commercial development.

In December 2005, the massive redevelopment potential of two of London’s busiest stations, Euston and Victoria, were unveiled. Plans for Waterloo will follow shortly.

Opportunities nationwide

In addition, around 50 or so regional stations will be upgraded to drive regeneration gateways to Britain’s towns and cities, while hundreds of smaller stations will also be developed, grouped into clusters and offered to single developers.
