We have big plans for the rail network – and for our people. We believe that Britain relies on rail and that we're making a decisive contribution to the prosperity and quality of life in this country.

However, we will only ever be as good as our people, so we make sure we equip them with the skills they need through training and development, and you’re going to be part of this.

I wish you every success in your career with Network Rail and I look forward to working with you.

  • About Network Rail

We own and run Britain's rail infrastructure, including:

    • 20,000 miles of track
    • 40,000 bridges, tunnels and viaducts
    • 6,600 level crossings
    • 860 signal boxes

3 million passengers travel on our network every weekday.

We are one of the country's largest property owners with 8,200 commercial properties in our portfolio.

We also own 2,500 stations. Most are leased to train operators, but we manage 18 major stations that handle 80% of passengers, including King's Cross, Birmingham New Street and Edinburgh Waverley.
