Safety training & communications

We use on-the-job training, seminars, videos, leaflets and our intranet to make sure that all employees know how to stay safe on the railway.

Safety 365 is the communications campaign that we run for all our employees across the whole organisation. The key issues that we cover are slips, trips & falls, manual handling, near misses, alcohol & drugs and occupational diseases.

Strong relationships with safety organisations

We have a strong relationship with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and the Railway Safety & Standards Board to ensure compliance with our Railway Safety Case. We are committed to working to our Safety Case and delivering the commitments made in our Safety & Environment Plan.
