What’s the job?
You’ll be our representative with a variety of contractors and other workers across a range of projects. You’ll need good experience of managing principal contractors and their subcontractors, and influencing people’s behaviour for the better. We’re looking for someone with relevant successful construction experience in the railway industry, along with environmental awareness and good communication skills.
You’ll encourage awareness of the importance of HSQE and good workmanship by regular communication with site staff, checking that they comply with our accident/incident reporting and investigation policy at all times. You’ll drive the understanding that everyone’s individual performance can have an impact on the health and safety of our passengers, colleagues and partners.
You’ll check that contractor activities are conducted safely and efficiently, ensure high work quality through inspections and detailed agreements, checking early and then throughout each project. You’ll be onsite to makes sure that your teams know what they’re doing and to see that work is going according to plan.
