    What’s involved?

You’ll be part of a friendly team, ensuring a great station environment for our customers: that’s passengers, retailers and Train Operating Companies (TOCs).

You’ll need confidence and strong interpersonal skills as you’ll be a beacon to those needing assistance. You must be organised, efficient and able to concentrate in a fast-paced environment, dealing with customers, visitors, contractors and retailers in a professional and friendly way.

Your responsibilities will include regular station checks for safety, security and contractor compliance, and to make sure all equipment meets our high health and safety standards.

You’ll deal with emergencies and incidents that involve the public or industry partners, prioritising everyone’s health and safety at all times. This includes fault reporting and remedying any unsafe conditions where you can. You will also be involved in keeping the station safe from criminal activity.

You don’t need specific rail industry experience: what we’re looking for is motivation and a natural flair for dealing with people calmly and professionally.
