Are you committed to delivering your projects safely, on time and on budget?
Our project managers work across the whole of our renewal and enhancement programme, so you’ll see a huge variety of work. You’ll be responsible for checking that the very highest engineering and safety standards are met on every project. You’ll also make sure our work is always environmentally responsible and time / cost-effective, as well as being in accordance with in-house standards and relevant legislation.
Search and apply for these roles
You’ll need to be ambitious, focused and determined to control a range of projects, keeping track of change, risks and contingency, and reporting to each project’s owner.
We’re looking for a high level of competence in construction design and management (CDM), risk assessment and internal and external auditing. You’ll also need a good understanding of commercial and
financial issues without compromising on engineering quality or essential health and safety concerns.
You’ll need the ability to communicate with and influence your colleagues in every sphere, as you’ll be responsible for allocating design and construction contracts and helping to develop strategies,
frameworks and other vital plans.
Your responsibilities will include the safety and training of the teams working on your projects, always remembering that safety must stay at the forefront of everything we do. You might even be asked to act as a CDM planning supervisor.
You don’t need specific rail industry experience: what we’re looking for is motivation and a natural flair for dealing with people at all levels. But you’ll need extensive experience in a relevant engineering field.
